This box is an opportunity to go back in time through tastings: a terroir, a producer over 6 years. A vertical of tea.
This is a real favorite. These pu er vintages all come from a small Lahu village in the Nanmei Valley located in the Lincang district. It is a valley located right next to a large famous pu er terroir, Bing Dao.
The leaves come from old tea plants cultivated by around ten Lahu families, and are processed by Mrs. O Yang, who has acquired this expertise as a tea maker.
It is also the fruit of a close collaboration with Olivier Schneider who accompanied, from the harvest to the transformation, each step to obtain an elegant and deep expression of this terroir. Each vintage expresses this maturation over the years, with more or less body, ranging from fresh zesty vegetal notes for the early fruits to young and lively tannins, to woody, honeyed, incense notes with tannins softening without losing their power.
It is composed of 6 single doses of 7g of the Pu er O Yang Nanmei 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 (special edition) and 2024 vintages, which you can also find on sale separately.
All are from wafers, therefore compressed, except the 2024 which is in bulk.
It is recommended to taste them with gong fu cha.
