Darjeeling Gopaldhara Tea Estate

Black tea, India

This spring Darjeeling reflects the vigor of the plant which wakes up gently without astringency or bitterness, that's what I liked. It has fresh notes of coriander seed, a zesty and sweet almond facet. It comes from the Gopaldhara tea estate, located northwest of the town of Darjeeling, at the foot of the Himalayas. It belongs to the Saria family since 1955 which also owns the Rohini Tea Estate that you had the opportunity to discover last year. Gopaldhara Tea Estate is spread over 175 ha planted with old tea plants of more than 100 years old next to young tea plants of about 20 years old. This lot, a DJ27 grade FTGFOP1, was harvested in April 2025 from a blend of old and young tea plants.

To celebrate this new vintage, we're giving away 50g of vintage 2023 with every order of Darjeeling 2025 until 31 July. This is your chance to have fun comparing these two vintages.
