Darjeeling Gopaldhara Tea Estate

Black tea, India

This Darjeeling of spring 2022 reflects the vigor of the plant which wakes up gently without astringency or bitterness, that's what I liked. It has fresh notes of coriander seed, a zesty facet and sweet almond. It comes from the Gopaldhara tea estate, located northwest of the city of Darjeeling, at the foot of the Himalayas. It belongs to the Saria family since 1955 who also owns the Rohini Tea Estate that you had the opportunity to discover last year. Gopaldhara Tea Estate is spread over 175 ha planted with old tea bushes of more than 100 years old next to young tea bushes of about 20 years old. This lot, a DJ29 grade FTGFOP1, was harvested last March from a blend of old and young tea bushes.
