Sencha Asanoka

Cultivated in Hioki by the Komaki family in Kagoshima Prefecture on the island of Kyûshû, this tea comes from the Asanoka cultivar, renowned for its sweet vegetal, chestnut, and umami flavors. The choice of this cultivar, combined with the fact that it is a spring harvest and has undergone a short steaming process known as Asamushi, provides a sensation of deep mellowness with almost a hint of sweetness, set against a green vegetal backdrop.
