This spring sencha, or shincha, comes from the Saemidori cultivar, and it comes from the producer Mr. Nishi located in Kirishima on the island of Kyûshû. In the cup it develops fresh, smooth, vegetal and marine notes with an almost milky background typical of this cultivar. Coming from a short steaming - futsumushi -, it is a beautiful entry into the world of sencha, interesting to compare with Sencha Yabukita de Concours to understand the impact of the cultivar on the taste of the tea.
